Angels & Devils


A stylish entertaining idea

Makes: approximately 20


  • 10 blanched almonds
  • 10 pitted prunes
  • 6 rashers middle bacon, cut into 2cm wide strips
  • 85g can John West Smoked Oysters in Oil, drained
  • Trimmed sticks of rosemary or toothpicks


Step 1

Insert an almond into each prune and wrap in a strip of bacon. Thread rosemary sticks or toothpicks through the soft part of the prune and bacon.

Step 2

Wrap remaining bacon around 1-2 drained John West Smoked Oysters, and thread as in step one.

Step 3

Grill or pan fry until bacon is crisp and browned.

Tasty Tip!

Angels and Devils can be prepared ahead of time and refrigerated. Grill or pan fry just before serving.
